Paul Battaglia

Hi-NRG Gymnastix Coach and Owner

Paul has over 20 years of competitive gymnastics and coaching experience and is USAG Safety Certified.  Paul received both academic and gymnastics scholarships from the University of New Mexico.  He competed nationally as an Elite gymnast and was later selected to be a National Judge for the Men's USGA Junior Olympic Program.  In 1995, Paul started World Class Gymnastics and co-owned the gym until August 2005 when he opened Hi-NRG Gymnastix.  Paul's coaching philosophy was influenced by personal experience with Doug Day (1996 and 2000 Olympic Judge) and Olympians Rusty Mitchell and Tim Daggett.

Coach Emelie De Geer

Emelie is safety certified through USA Gymnastics Association and has more than four years of coaching experience, including the 2006 MIZZOU Gymnastics summer camp.  Emelie was a Level 8 competitive gymnast, winning Missouri State  Championships in beam, floor, and bars and was the 2004 All-Around Missouri State Champion.  Emelie is currently a student at the University of Missouri, St. Louis.

Coach Chevi Guthrie

Chevi has more than 10 years of coaching experience.  She was a gymnast for nine years before pursuing the sport of cheerleading.  She has 16 years of cheerleading experience.  Chevi earned a Bachelors Degree of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor's Degree of science in Human Biology from Logan College of Chiropractic.  In addition, Chevi is a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Coach Kelli Shipley

Kelli has coached gymnastics for seven years and is USAG safety certified.  She previously coached at Olympiad Gymnastics and World Class Gymnastics and is a parent of a competitive gymnast.  Kelli coaches the preschool program and has developed a fun curriculum geared to enhance coordination, balance, and strength.
